Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care in a variety of healthcare settings, such as hospitals, clinics, and ambulatory surgery centers.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians or healthcare providers.
- Perform physical examinations and assessments to determine patient's health status.
- Assist with procedures and surgeries, ensuring a sterile environment and proper equipment setup.
- Conduct venipuncture and collect blood samples for laboratory testing.
- Educate patients and their families on health conditions, treatment plans, and self-care techniques.
- Document patient information, including medical history, symptoms, and treatment outcomes, in electronic health records (EHR) systems like Cerner.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Stay updated on current medical practices and advancements through continuing education and professional development.
Qualifications:
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Experience in acute care settings, such as hospitals or emergency departments.
- Familiarity with ambulatory surgery center operations and procedures.
- Proficiency in sterile processing techniques and maintaining aseptic environments.
- Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.
- Experience administering injections, including Botox or other cosmetic procedures.
- Competency in performing physical examinations and assessing patient conditions.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time efficiently, and work well under pressure.
