Payroll Specialist


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
Accurate and timely processing of all assigned payrolls
Day-to-day payroll maintenance, including accurate and timely processing of payroll entries, garnishments, direct deposit information, and employee set-ups
Establishes and maintains positive Client working relationships; successfully contributes to high Client retention rates
Provides support and training to Clients and employees regarding payroll software and general payroll needs
Analyzes Clients' needs and provides appropriate recommendations
Performs analysis of completed payroll and troubleshoots data inconsistencies; identifies trends and potential issues and recommends solutions
Maintains confidentiality of all Client and employee information

THE CHOSEN CANDIDATE MUST HAVE THE FOLLOWING EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:
Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office
A minimum of 1-year of payroll processing experience
Excellent data entry skills with high accuracy and attention to detail
Outstanding problem solving and analytical skills
Excellent interpersonal abilities; expertise in building and maintaining business relationships
Excellent verbal and written communication skills

PREFERRED, BUT NOT REQUIRED EXPERIENCE IN THE FOLLOWING AREAS:
Experience with using HRPyramid (HRP/Davison) software
Experience processing large volume multi-state payrolls
Knowledge of basic accounting concepts
Bilingual (English and Spanish)
PEO, benefits, workers compensation and/or human resource experience
Overall compensation and benefit package based on experience. Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
