Pediatric Office Manager


Summary:
The Pediatric Office Manager is the person designated at each of the larger sites to oversee the general operation of the site. This person oversees the implementation of the organization's policies and procedures. S/he ensures that all personnel necessary for proper functioning of the site are hired and trained. This person is responsible for the efficient functioning of the site. S/he reports to the Practice Administrator and directly to the doctors located at that particular site. S/he is responsible to hold regular doctor meetings and follow through with assignments in an expeditious manner.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's Degree or Associate Degree with significant medical administrative experience.
Ability to work with doctors and staff members effectively.
Ability to manipulate medical databases.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Self-motivation, detail orientation, professionalism and good judgment required.
Excellent problem solving skills, quantitative and analytical capabilities.
Good basic computer skills, including Microsoft Work, Excel, PowerPoint and Microsoft Publisher.
Excellent follow through skills.

Essential Functions:
Makes for an above-average experience for our patients.
Oversees the implementation of the organization's policies and procedures.
Communicates effectively with staff and doctors.
Actively involved in properly staffing all positions.
Oversees those responsible to directly supervise the various staff members.
Holds regular meetings with team supervisors and team members to help ensure the complete and timely dissemination of information.
Responsible to ensure all clinical equipment is functional.
Ensures all Federal and State regulations are being followed.
Verifies that HIPAA and OSHA standards are properly taught and being followed.
Develops and distributes a monthly company newsletter.
Coordinates the advertising committee for the company.
Other duties and special projects as may be assigned.

GENERAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintains clean, well-organized, properly stocked, and secure work area.
Performs job function in accordance with current departmental Standards, Policies, and Procedures.
Accommodates changes in workload within the department.
During light workload situations, seeks out additional tasks / duties for the department.
Demonstrates flexibility in accepting schedule and work assignments.
Keeps administration and doctors informed when problems may interfere with work being completed on time.
Uses initiative to resolve problems with appropriate action and follow through.
Participates in the training of new employees, and offers guidance, assistance and direction to less experienced personnel.
Adapts to changes or unusual circumstances to promote cooperation and minimize disruption to working environment.
Responds appropriately to inquiries or complaints.
Follows and maintains all corporate compliance and general policies and procedures and sets an example of appropriate corporate ethical behavior.
Accurately performs computer functions.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
