X-Ray Technician

Canyon View Medical Group is seeking the services of a part-time X-Ray Technician, typically working 12 to 15 hours per week on weekday evenings.
This position involves taking pictures of the body while utilizing various imaging methods. They are responsible for ensuring the patient's safety during the course of the imaging procedure. The ability to produce a high quality image consistently is crucial as this will help physicians to correctly provide diagnosis.
Essential Functions:
1. Identifies patient service requirements by establishing personal rapport with potential and actual patients and other persons in a position to understand service requirements.
2. Ensures operation of radiology equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs; maintaining equipment inventories; evaluating new equipment and techniques.
3. Maintains radiology supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies; placing and expediting orders for supplies; verifying receipt of supplies.
4. Complies with federal, state, and local legal and professional requirements by studying existing and new legislation; anticipating future legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions.
5. Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing
professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
6. Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
7. Gains patient cooperation by reducing anxieties; providing explanations of treatment; answering questions.
8. Prepares patient for radiological procedure by positioning patient; adjusting immobilization devices; moving equipment into specified position; adjusting equipment controls to set exposure factors.
9. Minimizes radiation to patient and staff by practicing radiation protection techniques, using beam restrictive devices, patient shielding, and knowledge of exposure factors.
10. Protects patients and employees by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols; following drug protocols in case of reactions to drugs, such as contrast media, administering first aid, and using the emergency cart.
11. Maintains production and quality of radiographs by following established standards and procedures; developing radiographs; observing radiographic results; making necessary adjustments.
12. Documents patient care services by charting in patient and department records.
13. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
14. All other assignments as requested.

11. Accurately performs computer functions.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
1. Graduate of an accredited School of Radiologic Technology.
2. Registered and certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
3. Licensed by the state of Utah as a Radiographer.
4. Ability to make independent decisions using critical thinking, problem-solving, and perform responsibilities under stressful situations.
5. Meet technical standards.
6. Possess professional oral and written communication skills. Extremely strong verbal and written communication skills.
7. Excellent problem-solving and system trouble shooting skills necessary.
8. Ability to interact effectively, appropriately, and professionally with clients, other departments, and management personnel.
9. Strong organizational, motivational and training abilities.
10. Professionalism, good judgment and time management skills required.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
