Job Description
KapStone's Spanish Fork container plant is now hiring for General Labor/Utility employees to assist in the production of corrugated containers. Our Spanish Fork site has tripled in size from its original 175,000 square feet. Today, the plant boasts more than 550,000 square feet, or some 13 acres under one roof. Specialty customers for our Spanish Fork containers include litho-laminated and other special boxes made for computers and software, many frozen foods, appliances, soaps, cosmetics and point-of-purchase displays. Some of the more standard uses for our containers include meat and poultry packaging, cheese and other food products, health and exercise equipment, furniture, explosives, pharmaceuticals, clothing, and automotive accessories. We have a strong focus on continuous improvement, and we invite those with high standards for safety, quality and customer service to apply.
Responsibilities
This role will provide support to machine operators, The first responsibility of any position with KapStone is safety, and applicants should be committed to following our safety policies and successfully completing safety training and looking out for the well-being of their co-workers. Day to day responsibilities will include helping set up and feed machinery, sort and stack boxes, identify quality errors through observation as well as using measures and standards, complete online training.
Qualifications
To be considered, we require a High School Diploma or G.E.D. We would like to see a minimum of 2 years of full-time work experience within the last 4 years. One of those years of experience needs to be in a manufacturing/industrial or labor field. You must be available to work rotating shifts including weekends, we work a 4 week rotation of days and swings, 12 hour shifts four days a week.
