Job Description
Prefer a minimum of two to three years experience in similar position in a medical office
Knowledge/experience including Medicare/Medicaid billing
Strong insurance background, reading and interpreting EOB s
Knowledge of dermatology specific ICD10 and CPT coding
Proficiency in Word, Excel, QuickBooks, and Outlook
Must adapt well to change
Should possess ability to multi-task
Have good organizational skills
Good customer service skills is a must for this position
Collection experience necessary
Responsibilities
This position requires involvement from start to finish in the medical claims process; client communication, insurance denial identification, insurance calls, claims submittal, follow-up, as well as the collection process.

Additional Information
Aspen Dermatology is currently looking for an experienced medical biller/coder to join a great team of employees and providers. The position is full-time with benefits including but not limited to medical insurance, 401K, holidays and PTO. This position requires involvement from start to finish in the claims process; client communication, insurance denial identification, insurance calls, claims submittal, follow-up, and collection. Our Practice is a fast-paced, professional and friendly work environment with several providers.
Wage negotiable contingent on experience. This is not an entry level position those without the necessary experience need not apply.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
